GOD GIVEN FRIENDS

A Personal Truth.

Thank you for taking time to read this message.  It is one that comes from my heart and penetrates my Soul.

As you know, I am a born again Christian.  I have also lived in the Gay (big G) lifestyle.  Currently, I am in ministry to help anyone touched by SSA or a gay lifestyle.
You may not realize this but there are times in my daily life that I find myself in an emotionally empty place.  There are times I can’t seem to get out of my own way with feelings.  It sounds crazy but feelings can be so powerful.  I look at what God has given me and wonder what I am going to do next and how.  I believe God has given me each of you to help me navigate this terrain.

Youth Ministry: The Challenging Awesome

So let me start from the beginning. About 2 months ago I was asked if I would help lead worship for the VBS that my church was planning on doing for a church in Warm Springs as a mission trip for the youth. Having no idea what I was in for I agreed to.

WHY FREE INDEED?

We invite all!  Let us show you that God is love.  Let us be with you and together we’ll show the world what God’s love really looks like.  With one voice let us proclaim Grace to other people of faith.  God really does love us.  God does want to have a relationship with us.  In fact, he does have a relationship with us.

God would rather die than not have a relationship with you…AND HE DID!

Free Indeed Radio - Episode 2 "Life vs Lifestyle"

Are we as Christians called to change someones behavior? What is it about that that is so appealing to us? Does the way you live determine the way God looks at you? Christian culture has a nack for "calling them like i see them" as if we can determine someone's standing with God based on the way a person lives. In this episode we explore the difference between a person's life: who they are as a beloved creation, and lifestyle: what they do with that revelation. What are the implications of judging someone's standing with God based on their behaviors or life choices? What are we attempting to change when we minister to someone? All these questions asked and more on today's episode!

Free Indeed Radio: Episode 1- What Not To Say

In Christian Culture so often when we are faced with something that makes us uncomfortable or we feel ill equipped to handle it gracefully and scripturally so what happens is you end up "speaking the truth in love" however this doesn't end up being very loving. In this episode we will explore what phrases are most commonly used to minister to those who are same sex attracted, the attitudes behind them, and the effects felt by each. We can all learn a lot from what God tells us to say, We can learn even more when we learn "What not to say".

Christian for years, recently saved. What Easter Really Is.

My name is Brandon and I'm 21 years old. I've been living in Central Oregon for a 7 or 8 years now and been a christian for about the same amount of time. However I didn't really know the love of God and the power of Jesus till last year. Allow me to explain.

I HATE YOU THEREFORE I LOVE YOU!

I Hate You Therefore I Love You!

Tell me how this works. How do "Christians" bring condemnation, shame and feelings of hatred to someone with the expectation of them hearing a message that says, "Jesus loves you?"
Sadly, the old way of thinking (which is currently still alive), is that to testify about Christ' love is to make sure you tell them what is wrong with them.

At Free Indeed, we do not believe in this and we do not follow this practice. In fact we condemn it!

GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE OF CHRISTIANS?

Let's talk about groups, organizations and clubs in a relational difference between the church and (in this case) the gay community.
Recently, We were asked if we thought that the "gay/straight alliance" clubs are good or do they compromise Christian teaching?  We will answer this as we go along.
STUCK!

What does it mean to be stuck? How do we get stuck? What are the consequences of being stuck?

I think of being stuck as being set in our ways. I think of people who are much older who often say, “I’m just set in my ways.  That’s why I do what I do”.

I think of what people think about Free Indeed and our mission to reach the hurting and struggling. I think how they tell me, they don’t want to hear what we have to say because they have heard it for so long and have their own way of thinking. I call this “stuck in their ways”.
