STRAIGHT?

We tackled the questions you see below.  Not as a test to what you think or believe but as a guide or path to what the terms mean to you and how we can use them (or not) when speaking about SSA.  Certainly, the knowledge and understanding you gain will go far to help you in many areas of life.
I have added content that was shared by the group.  I know you will agree with some, disagree with others and perhaps be confused by the whole thing.  Either way, I look forward to hearing from you, answering questions and most of all sharing your view.  Making us stronger one thought at a time.

What is your idea of straight?
A label.  The thought that anyone involved in an opposite sex life is straight.

Is this a Biblical term or theology? Agreed that it was not a biblical term nor does true Christian theology support the word.

From where did it come? Well, it came from the era of the term “Gay”.  Also used to describe someone who does not do drugs. Later used to describe those that do not live with SSA.  The beginnings of isolation perhaps?

What is normal? A difficult word to define because of the condemnation that seems to flow with it.  Another thought, “Anything like me”.  Both good views but we continue…

Who is normal?  Anyone.  Everyone.  No one. Brings the question is God to be considered “normal”.
Are same sex attraction thoughts normal?  All agreed that they were normal.  Don’t blow out yet.  We continue…

Are opposite attraction thoughts normal?  All agreed yes.  ALL agreed YES.

Wherein leys the sin of thoughts?  When they come to us and we act on them physically.  When they come to us and we act on them mentally or emotionally.

Are you still with us?  What came to your mind?

Remember these are thoughts shared from the hearts of the participants.  We want you to participate too!  Let’s stretch a little more…

Which sins did Jesus promise to remember no more?  Past? Present? Future?
All agreed ALL of them.  Since we know Jesus died for us on the cross over 2000 years ago and we were only in his thoughts, all of our sins are therefore future, and only after we are born do we begin to have a past and present.

What if I do the same thing I just got done asking forgiveness for? (HEB 4:16 Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.)

This was a tough one.  If you read the question carefully it is stated that you just got done doing something you needed to ask forgiveness of; you did ask and it was granted because your sins are already forgiven.  You have been cleansed under Grace.  It’s only ten minutes later and you’re in it again.  What now?  For the believer, the truth and nothing but the truth is you are in the same place as before the first time.  You are under Grace.  You are continually being washed by the blood of Jesus.  Believer, keep these words in your mind and on your tongue every moment of every day, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ”.  This is who you are.  Always!

As the verse says draw near with CONFIDENCE to the throne of Grace, receive mercy and find grace in your time of need.

When is your time of need?  Is it now?  Is it every moment of every day?  Do you know the one who gave you this permission and precious gift?  If not just ask!!!

What is the Biblical Spiritual limit to Grace?
Hourly? Daily? Weekly? Monthly?

There is no limit while we have breath in our body!  Agreed and received by all!

How do we bring Christ into the middle of our thoughts?
Everyone said, “By thinking of Jesus”.  Could it be that simple?  SSA is so pervasive and emotional, could it be that easy?

This is the heart of Free Indeed.  Could it be that simple and how do I maintain that life?

Titus 2:11 For the Grace of God has Appeared bringing salvation to all men.
You now see what I have been saying when I call Grace a person.  Not a thing to be handed out in portions to you as a spice in a recipe.  Grace Appeared!

1Peter 5:10  After you have suffered for a little while (define this), the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

Suffering a little while was the thought of what we go through before we know Christ and what our Father does after.  Another thought was the time a believer spends in a season and what God is doing during this time and the second part of the verse what He has actually done.
Well, there’s a great deal to think about in this but God has put it in our hearts to ask questions and expect answers.
We know without a doubt as believers He will never fail!  If you are not a believer but want to know more about why we think we know what we know.  Just pick up the phone and call, text or message!
